Charlie sheen admits that he is HIV positive and has lived with the virus for four years
Charlie sheen has ended the intense speculation on his HIV status, this is after he revealed that he has been living with HIV for around four years now.He revealed his status when he appeared on NBC's Today show.
Sheen said that prior to his diagnosis,he started to feel a series of cluster headaches, then he was hospitalized. In his mind he thought that he had a brain tumor. He says "i though all was over, that was when the doctors told me the results of the test that had been done".
After the diagnosis I told my closest friends of my status -this turned to be the worst decision of my life, since it ended up starting a series of blackmails.I ended up paying millions of dollars for the diagnosis to be kept a secret,in short i became a victim of extortion. To confirm how deep the extortion was he told of the sex worker he paid, who took pictures of his anti-viral medication and threatened to sale the pictures to media houses.
Sheen says that he has not knowingly transmitted the virus since the diagnosis,as the people he has slept with even without protection know of his status.
Sheen admitted that the reason why he went public with his status is to stop the series of blackmail and extortion he has suffered, and also hope that this will reduce the stigma on the decease.
