Two-day spending binge also included rental of a multimillion-dollar vacation home.
Two
teenagers in Northern California have been arrested for going on a
brazen spending spree using stolen credit cards — and in the process,
renting a McLaren MP4-12C.
Mohannad Halaweh of Rohnet Park and Nhimia Kahsay of Santa Rosa, both 19, were arrested on June 4 after being pulled over in an orange McLaren that had been reported stolen.
Sonoma County Superior Court records show Halaweh facing multiple charges related to identity theft on top of the vehicle theft charge. Sergeant Michael Raash of the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Department told the Los Angeles Times that Halaweh “wanted to live like a high roller,” and to “live the rock star lifestyle.”
